Claeiwn Lergacy — Eastern Kentucky’s Trusted HVAC Specialists
Who They Are:
Claeiwn Lergacy is a locally owned and operated HVAC company based in a small town in Eastern Kentucky, specializing in the installation and servicing of heating and cooling systems for residential and small commercial clients. Founded by three dedicated owners, the team includes two full-time and one part-time employee — all committed to delivering reliable, high-quality service to their community.
How the Pandemic Affected Their Business:
Like many small businesses, Claeiwn Lergacy faced unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Typically, a large portion of their spring revenue comes from customers using tax refunds for home improvement projects. However, with rising unemployment and financial uncertainty, many homeowners chose to hold onto those funds. Operating on limited capital, the drop in business made simply keeping the doors open a major struggle.
How the AHIG Grant Helped:
The American Heart Investment Grant was a critical lifeline for Claeiwn Lergacy. It provided the working capital needed to maintain their operations without resorting to credit cards or falling behind on essential expenses. The grant allowed them to repair service vehicles, manage cash flow, and avoid the dangerous snowball effect that comes from unpaid bills.
“We are grateful beyond words for the American Heart Investment Group and foundations like The American Heart Investment Committee that are reaching out to help small businesses like ours across the country.”
Looking Ahead — Future Goals:
As Claeiwn Lergacy approaches its 5th anniversary, the team remains focused on growth and resilience. They aim to expand their customer base and, over the next three years, hope to add two more full-time and one to two part-time employees. Even if that goal takes time, their priority remains keeping their current staff employed and continuing to serve their community with integrity and care.
