Stacey D. Robertson of MegaSSBrand Skin

We’re thrilled to welcome Stacey D. Robertson, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MegaSSBrand Skin, as our December AHIG Grant Winner! In our latest installment of the AHIG Grant Winner Audio Series, Stacey joined us to share the heartwarming story behind her business and the mission that continues to drive it forward.

A Family-Founded Skincare Brand Born from a Personal Need

MegaSSBrand Skin is not your average skincare line—it’s a clean, cruelty-free skincare brand created specifically for Black and Brown children. Founded by Stacey and her now 14-year-old son, Bron Echols, the brand was born out of a very real gap in the market.

“When my son was younger,” Stacey explained, “I couldn’t find any clean, non-toxic skincare products for school-age kids—only baby products or adult items. He ended up using my skincare products, or just soap, water, and lotion.”

From that frustration came purpose. Together, Stacey and Bron launched MegaSSBrand Skin in May 2023, and have since been on a mission to promote not only healthy skincare habits but also self-love and confidence for children of color.

What Makes MegaSSBrand Skin Different?

MegaSSBrand Skin focuses on a demographic most skincare brands overlook—kids starting at age seven and up. Their Starter Kit, which includes a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, is just the beginning. The brand also offers solutions for skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis, making many of their products safe for babies, children, and adults alike.

But it doesn’t stop there. MegaSSBrand Skin is about education, empowerment, and bonding.

“We want parents to participate in the skincare routine with their children,” Stacey said. “It becomes a bonding moment—something done together in the morning and evening. We’re trying to build a community around self-care as a shared experience.”

And they’re not just telling customers what to do—they’re showing them how. Their website features educational tutorials, ensuring kids and parents alike understand proper skincare techniques, from how hard to rub to how thoroughly to rinse.

Teaching Confidence and Care Early On

In a world where young children are exposed to unrealistic beauty standards at increasingly early ages, MegaSSBrand Skin is carving out a safe, empowering space.

As one committee member noted, “I have a 12-year-old niece who’s already asking about anti-wrinkle creams—products not even remotely age-appropriate. That’s why the education you’re providing, Stacey, is so valuable.”

Looking Ahead

With a growing following, glowing reviews, and a purpose-driven approach, MegaSSBrand Skin is positioned to make a major impact in the skincare industry. We’re so proud to support Stacey and Bron with this month’s AHIG Grant, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
