Terms and Conditions for AHIG Grants

1. Eligibility Requirements

To apply for AHIG grants, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including but not limited to:

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  • The applicant must operate a business or nonprofit organization in one of the eligible states.
  • The business or nonprofit must meet the minimum operational or organizational requirements defined by the AHIG program.

2. Grant Application Process

Applicants must complete the full application form provided through the AHIG online portal.

Incomplete applications or applications with inaccurate information may be disqualified or delayed.

AHIG reserves the right to request additional documentation or clarification of any information provided in the application.

3. Application Fee and Costs

While there is no application fee for most AHIG grants, certain programs may require a nominal processing or screening fee to cover administrative costs, such as the ISC (Identity Screening and Compliance) fee.

Federal administrative fees may be levied on approved funds before disbursement is processed.

4. Disbursement of Funds

Once approved, grant funds will be disbursed according to the terms and conditions outlined in the grant agreement.

The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the provided bank account or payment details are correct and up to date for fund disbursement.

AHIG reserves the right to withhold or cancel funding if the applicant fails to comply with the requirements outlined in the agreement or if the funds are found to be used for unauthorized purposes.

5. Use of Funds

Grant funds must be used for the purposes specified in the application and outlined in the funding agreement.

The applicant agrees to submit a report or documentation proving how the funds were utilized, including any financial records and receipts upon request by AHIG.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

By applying, the applicant consents to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal and business data, including financial records, for the purpose of processing the grant application and monitoring the use of the funds.

All data shared will be treated in compliance with applicable privacy laws and AHIG’s privacy policy.

7. Compliance with Federal Laws

All recipients of AHIG funding must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to tax laws, anti-fraud regulations, and non-discrimination laws.

Recipients must agree to provide all necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance, including federal identity screening and compliance checks.

8. Reporting and Monitoring

Grant recipients are required to provide periodic progress reports and financial statements to AHIG to ensure that funds are being used as intended.

AHIG reserves the right to audit any applicant or recipient to verify the proper use of funds and compliance with program requirements.

9. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

AHIG reserves the right to modify, update, or change these terms and conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on the AHIG website, and the applicant is responsible for reviewing the terms periodically.

10. Termination of Participation

AHIG reserves the right to terminate an applicant’s participation in the grant program at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, misrepresentation, non-compliance, failure to meet deadlines, or misuse of funds.

11. Legal Disclaimer

AHIG makes no guarantees regarding the approval or disbursement of funds. All decisions regarding funding are at the sole discretion of the AHIG Committee.

AHIG is not responsible for any damages, losses, or costs resulting from the application process, including but not limited to the failure to meet deadlines or the inability to access funds due to compliance issues.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and applicable state laws, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
